Success at 2008 Relay For Life!

We are pleased to announce that we were able to donote about $1500 to Meeker Relay for Life!

We served food all day at the event on Friday, June20th.  Turkey burgers, Bratwurst and hot dogs all of them wih all the fixin's were prepared and sold by members of Golden Fleece Lodge.  The weather was good for the most part.  A short-lived, but intense squall came through and destroyed W.B. Curry's canopy and the Les Kouba print he donated for raffling.

Thanks to the following poeple for their donations:

Greg Langmo - Over 300 turkey burgers

Bruce Cottington - Cheese

Rick Johnson - Misc. Groceries

All of the Turker burgers sold out - about 325 or so.  We sold every hot dog we had (100) so Jim Curry procurred another 125 and all of those sold out!  We went through 275 brats as well.

Congratulations Team!

Newest Member of Golden Fleece Lodge

On Saturday, January 19th our newest brother was raised to the level of 3rd Degree Mason.

Brother Brian Riebe, son-in-law of W.B. Jim Curry has become the newest and youngest current brother of Golden Fleece Lodge.  Brian brought with him, neighbor, friend and mentor W.B. Virgil Christensen a Past Master and 54 year member of Koochiching Lodge No. 270 of International Falls, MN.  W.B. Virgil had the honor of raising Brian and presented him with his very own Masonic ring.  A gift Brian will treasure forever.

In attendance from Golden Fleece Lodge were W.B. Jim Curry, W.B. Ed Cowley and Junior Warden Mike Ross.

44 petitions were listed in the roster for the class, but appeared that only about 40 were in attendance.

Congratutlations to Brian and the rest of the newest members of our fraternity!
